Skevos Sideris

Director of Cardiology Department, Hippokration General Hospital of Athens, Greece

Skevos Sideris, MD, PhD, FESC, is Director of the Cardiology Department at Hippokration General Hospital of Athens, Greece. He joined the hospital in 2006 as Senior Cardiologist and was appointed Director in 2015.

He graduated from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 1988 and completed his Cardiology specialty training at the University Cardiology Clinic of Hippokration Hospital (1994–1997). In 1998, he was awarded a doctorate for his dissertation “The coexistence of carotid artery disease in patients with coronary artery disease.”

In 1999, he received a scholarship from the Hellenic Cardiological Society to pursue postgraduate studies in Electrophysiology and Pacing at St George’s Hospital Medical School, London, under the supervision of Professor John Camm (1999–2000).

In 2016, he was awarded a second Hellenic Cardiological Society scholarship for Senior Cardiologists, supporting annual fellowships at the Electrophysiology Laboratory of Cleveland Clinic, Ohio (2011–2024). He also attended as an observer at the University of Utah Electrophysiology Laboratory in July 2025.
