Konstantinos I. Varvagiannis, MD, FMH, graduated from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and obtained the Swiss federal specialist title in Medical Genetics following specialty training at Geneva University Hospitals, Switzerland. He subsequently worked as Consultant Clinical Geneticist / Chef de Clinique at Geneva University Hospitals – HUG and as Clinical Geneticist at the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics. He has been a visiting observer at Radboud University Medical Center, Nijmegen, and at Stanford University, with exposure to clinical genomics, cardiovascular genetics and long-read sequencing technologies. He has contributed to reference gene panel development through Genomics England PanelApp and has participated in ClinGen working groups and expert panels. He is currently an external collaborator at the Biomedical Research Foundation of the Academy of Athens, in the framework of the Greek Network for Precision Medicine in Cardiology.
