PhD Researcher, Laboratory Head, Diagnostic Genetics and Precision Medicine Unit (DIGENIA), Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (IMBB-FORTH), Heraklion, Greece

Emmanouela Linardaki is a postdoctoral researcher and Laboratory Head of the Diagnostic Genetics and Precision Medicine Unit (DIGENIA) at IMBB-FORTH, with extensive expertise in molecular diagnostics, Precision Medicine and clinical genomics, with a particular focus on inherited cardiac disorders, oncology and neurodegenerative diseases. She holds a BSc in Biochemistry from Royal Holloway University of London, an MSc in Molecular Medicine from Imperial College London, and a PhD in cancer gene therapy and immunotherapy from Mayo Clinic, USA.

Her recent work has focused strongly on Precision Medicine, where she has played a leading scientific role in national initiatives bridging molecular diagnostics, germline and somatic variant analysis, and clinical genetics. Over the past 8 years she has been an active scientific collaborator across Greece’s National Flagship Actions on Precision Medicine, including the Greek Network on Precision Medicine in Cardiology (iCardiacNet), the Hellenic Precision Medicine Networks on Oncology, and the National Research Networks for Neurodegenerative Diseases.

Her work combines expertise in Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), Sanger Sequencing, and bioinformatic analysis of clinical samples, operating under ISO 15189 and ISO 27001 accreditation standards, to advance clinically certified molecular diagnostics and research in inherited disease and oncology.
