Dimitrios Athanasiou is a Financial Manager and Business Consultant specializing in project management. He holds an MBA in Financial Management. He is an international Rare Diseases patient advocate, Certified patient expert by EURORDIS Open Patient Academy and EUPATI, where he is also a trainer; he is also patient expert in EMA for SA and PA procedures.
Dimitrios Athanasiou has 25+ years’ consulting experience in finance and business development with roles in multinationals companies and projects. 10+ years’ experience in Global, European and National patient organizations, former board member in EPF and PDCO member in the European Medicines Agency, with roles focused on policy, regulatory work, R&D and clinical research.
Currently, a PCWP Member in EMA, Board member in the World Duchenne Organization, Greek Patients Association, Rare Diseases Greece.
