Dr George E. Dafoulas was trained in Internal Medicine and holds a Master’s in business administration in Health Services Management from the Nottingham Business School-Nottingham Trent University, UK. He was a visiting scholar in CSAIL-MIT, Cambridge-Boston, USA working on the topics of open source/open science for Global Health and in Meta-Research Innovation Center at Stanford Medical School, USA on Real World Health Data Analytics. He has worked as European Health Telematics (EHTEL) Medical Officer in 2021, and as a Clinical Research fellow of the Schools of Medicine in the University of Athens and Thessaly, Greece and the University of Birmingham, UK in projects related with Diabetes Mellitus and comorbidities, as well as e-health and e-care services, medical devices and digital therapeutics. He has participated in the organizing committee of Health IT conferences, Heath Hackathons and Datathons, and as Medical Director in Digital Health Companies. He has worked as a Digital Health Expert and as a Board Member in IDIKA SA national e-health agency of the Greek NHS and is the internal clinician of the Clinical Evaluation Department in EKAPTY SA, a notified body for evaluation of medical technology.
